Key dates for club executives and registrars
See this link for important dates and deadlines through the speed skating season.
Information for club registrars
Registration fees are payable to both Speed Skating Canada and Speed Skate Nova Scotia. Fees are collected by clubs at registration.
Participants in sanctioned speed skating events must be registered with SSC/SSNS, and their registration completed in the Speed Skating Canada database prior to participation in any sanctioned event. All skaters must be registered in one of the skater membership categories; their skater registration covers any other activities they are involved in, such as coaching or officiating. Coaches, officials and volunteers who are not also skaters should be registered in the "Associate" category. Please ensure that all volunteers actively involved in speed skating activities and events are registered with Speed Skating Canada to ensure that they are properly covered by both liability and accident insurance.
Please note that fee structures may change annually, and ensure that your club registration form includes the current registration fees.
